Table order (property)
For automation interface purposes, the Table Order property is not an attribute of the Stereotype; however, you can use the ReorderItem function to change the order of a Database's Tables. The Table Order property determines the order in which its Tables are stored, and therefore the order they are returned through the automation interface.
This property specifies the order in which the Tables of a Database are ordered. The Table Order determines in which order the Tables are listed on the Items tab of the owning Database's Property Pages.
This property can be of importance when using ACS to generate SQL code - the order in which a Database's Tables are ordered determines the order in which the Tables are generated.
By default, a new Table appears last in the Table Order.
This property can set on the Items tab of a Database's Property Pages. To change the Table Order, select a Table in the list, and then click the required order button to change the Table's position. There are four order buttons:
You can also set the Table Order through the Packages and Relationships panes: Right-click the Table you want to move, and then click Move Up (Alt+Shift+Up) or Move Down (Alt+Shift+Up).
The following section provides information about the items and diagrams for which Attribute Order is a property. For more information about an item or diagram, click it.
