Operation order (property)
For automation interface information about the Operation Order, see the automation interface topics in the Related Topics. The Operation Order property determines the order in which the Operations are stored, and therefore the order they are returned through the automation interface.
This property specifies the order in which the Operations of a Class, Data Type, Interface, Model or Package are ordered. The Operation Order determines in which order the Operations are listed on the Items tab of the owning item's Property Pages.
This property can be of importance when generating code from Operations. The order in which an item's Operations are ordered determines the order in which the Operations are generated by ACS.
By default, a new Operation appears last in the Operation Order.
This property can be set on the Items tab of the Property Pages for the owning Class, Data Type, Interface, Model or Package. To change the Operation Order, select an Operation in the list, and then click the required order button to change the Operation's position. There are four order buttons:
You can also set the Operation order through the Packages and Relationships panes: Right-click the Operation you want to move, and then click Move Up (Alt+Shift+Up) or Move Down (Alt+Shift+Up).
