Binding (property)

This property specifies whether an Operation's Binding is At Compile or At Runtime:
• At Compile- Specifies that the binding is static, that is, there will be no refinement of the operation.
• At Runtime- Specifies that the binding is virtual or dynamic, that is, you expect the operation to be refined.
By default, the At Compile option is selected.
This property is set on the Options tab of an Operation's Property Pages.

• For an Operation scoped to a Class or Data Type, if you select the Abstract check box, the Binding option is set to At Runtime.
• If you select the UML\Operations folder in the Dictionary pane, the Contents pane shows the Binding of each Operation in the model.
