Creating a concurrent state
You can create a Concurrent State on a State Diagram or through a Modeler browser. A new Concurrent State includes two compartments (Sequential States). Define a Concurrent State's incoming and outgoing Transitions on a State Diagram.
To create a concurrent state on a state diagram:
1. On the State Diagram tab, click the Concurrent State button.
2. On the State Diagram, click in free space or within a Sequential State.
3. Type the name of the Concurrent State, and then press the Enter key.
4. If you want to create additional compartments (Sequential States) for the Concurrent State:
a. On the State Diagram tab, click the Concurrent Compartment button.
b. Click within the Concurrent State for which you want to create a compartment.
c. Type the name of the Concurrent State, and then press the Enter key.
To create a concurrent state in a Modeler browser:
1. Right-click the State Machine or Sequential State that is to own the Concurrent State, and select New > Concurrent State.
2. Type the name of the Concurrent State, and then press the Enter key.
3. If you want to create additional compartments (Sequential States) for the Concurrent State:
a. Right-click the Concurrent State, and select New > Sequential State.
b. Type the name of the Concurrent State, and then press the Enter key.
