Model action selection page (Component Sharing Wizard)
This topic is for the Model Action Selection page of the Component Sharing Wizard (Step 4 of 7).
The Component Sharing Wizard can perform Modeler Configuration Manager versioning of Modeler models.
The options available on this page depend on the Component Sharing Wizard operation you are performing.
Export to Directory
For the active Modeler model, in the Model Action list select the required action:
• None – does not protect or version the active Modeler model.
• Protect before Export – protects the model before exporting the component's Packages.
• Sandbox before Export – creates a sandbox from the active Modeler model version before exporting the component's Packages from that sandbox.
• Version before Export – creates a new version of the current model before exporting the component's Packages from what is now the previous version.
Export to Model
For the active Modeler model, in the Model Action list select the required action:
• None – does not protect or version the active Modeler model.
• Protect before Export – protects the model before exporting the component's Packages.
• Sandbox before Export – creates a sandbox from the active Modeler model version before exporting the component's Packages.
• Version before Export – creates a new version of the current model before exporting the component's Packages from what is now the previous version.
For the destination model, in the Model Action list select the required action:
• None – does not protect or version the destination model.
• Reconcile after Import – for a destination sandbox, exports the component's Packages to the sandbox and then reconciles that sandbox to the trunk.
• Version after Import – exports the component's Packages to the destination model and then creates a new version of that destination model.
• Version before Import – creates a new version of the destination model and then exports the component's Packages to that new version of the model.
Export to CM
For the active Modeler model, in the Model Action list select the required action:
• None – does not protect or version the active Modeler model.
• Protect before Export – protects the model before exporting the component's Packages.
• Sandbox before Export – creates a sandbox from the active Modeler model version before exporting the component's Packages.
• Version before Export – creates a new version of the current model before exporting the component's Packages from what is now the previous version.
Import from Directory
For the active Modeler model, in the Model Action list select the required action:
• None – does not protect or version the active Modeler model.
• Reconcile after Import – for a sandbox, imports the component's Packages to the sandbox and then reconciles that sandbox.
• Version after Import – imports the component's Packages to the active Modeler model and then creates a new version of the active Modeler model.
• Version before Import – creates a new version of the active Modeler model and then imports the component's Packages to that new version of the model.
Import from Model
For the source model, in the Model Action list select the required action:
• None – does not protect or version the source model.
• Protect before Export – protects the source model before importing the component's Packages.
• Sandbox before Export – creates a sandbox from the source model version before importing the component's Packages.
• Version before Export – creates a new version of the source model before exporting the component's Packages.
For the active Modeler model, in the Model Action list select the required action:
• None – does not protect or version the active Modeler model.
• Reconcile after Import – for a sandbox, imports the component's Packages to the sandbox and then reconciles that sandbox.
• Version after Import – creates a new version of the active Modeler model and then imports the component's Packages to that new version of the model.
• Version before Import – imports the component's Packages to the active Modeler model and then creates a new version of that model.
Import from CM
For the active Modeler model, in the Model Action list select the required action:
• None – does not protect or version the active Modeler model.
• Reconcile after Import – for a sandbox, imports the component's Packages to the sandbox and then reconciles that sandbox.
• Version after Import – imports the component's Packages to the active Modeler model and then creates a new version of the active Modeler model.
• Version before Import – creates a new version of the active Modeler model and then imports the component's Packages to that new version of the model.
