Adding nested and nesting items to a class diagram (includes data types, interfaces and signals)
You can add nested items and nesting items for Classes, Data Types, Interfaces and Signals to a Class Diagram.
You can also include nested symbols for Activities, Basic Types, Packages and Type Definition.
To add nested items for a specific class, data types, interface, package or signal:
1. On the Class Diagram, select the Class, Data Type, Interface, Package or Signal for which you want to add nested items.
2. To add all nested items: right-click the item, and select Populate > All Nested Items.
To add only nested items of a specific type: right-click the item, and select Populate > Nested <item type>.
*
If nested items are not shown on the diagram, Modeler adds those nested items to the diagram.
To add the nesting item for a specific class, data type, interface or signal:
1. On the Class Diagram, select the item for which you want to add nesting item.
2. Right-click the item, and select Populate > Nesting Item.
*
If the nesting item is not shown on the diagram, Modeler adds the Nesting item to the diagram.
To add nesting links for all shown items on a class diagram:
1. Open the Class Diagram.
2. Right-click the diagram background, and select Populate > Item Nesting.
*
If any nested or nesting items are not shown on the diagram, the Item Nesting command does not add those items to the diagram.
