Preparing for a Standalone Installation
A Standalone installation may fail if your environment is not set up for installation of Modeler.

The specifications of the computer meets Modeler requirements.
There is enough free disk space.
Installation process requires disk space in the target folders and in the Windows TEMP folder.

Windows operating system.
Installation program checks for valid operating system.

You are logged on with local administrator rights.
Installation program checks.
The computer can be restarted during the installation process.
Upgrades only.
Virus checkers temporarily disabled.
Can make an installation stop while copying files, or prevent registration.
If you are installing Modeler the first time, ensure that you have obtained the appropriate licenses from PTC.

If you are upgrading Modeler, ensure that you have obtained the appropriate upgrade or replacement Modeler licenses.

On Windows Server 2008 or later, Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration must be disabled to view Reviewer or Web images correctly.

.NET 4 Framework installed and Internet Information Services (IIS) enabled and set up.
Required only if installing Web Interface.
The latest Service Pack and any relevant critical and high-priority updates must be applied to all supported Microsoft products regularly. Beta releases are not supported. For Windows Server 2012 R2, ensure Windows updates KB2975061 and KB2919355 have been installed.
Making a Standalone Installation Work When Disconnected From the Network
If you want to be able to use a Standalone installation when the computer is disconnected from the network, you must set up your network card to not stop when disconnected or you must install the Microsoft Loopback Adapter.
