Process item (IDL code)
Create a Process through the Deployment Plan Editor: Right-click the Deployment Plan, and then click Edit Plan. From the Deployment Plan Editor, right-click the Available Processes folder, and then click Add Process. The Process is created as a child of the Development Plan.
When you create a new Process, it uses the LocalityManager processor type as its type. The LocalityManager processor type resides in the following Package:
IDL Profile::DnC Elements::CCM_DDS package.
The LocalityManager processor type includes the following Attributes: processPriority, cpuAffinity and localityArguments, which are inherited by all Processes.
Through the Deployment Plan Editor, you can perform the following tasks for a Process:
• Set values of the processPriority, cpuAffinity and localityArguments attributes.
Note that you can set the default Attribute values for a Deployment Plan's Processes by setting Attribute values for the LocalityManager processor type.
• Allocate the Process to a Node. A Process can be applied to only one Node.
• Deploy a Component Part to the Process.
For information about defining Processes through the Deployment Plan Editor, see
Deployment plan editor.
You can create a Deployment Plan Report that shows the Nodes and Processes to which each Component Part is deployed.
A Process is based on a UML Attribute or Role.
The following sections provide information about how a Process is used in the model.
