Default object type mapping page (Integration for MATLAB Simulink)
This page of Integration for MATLAB Simulink allows you to specify the default mappings of Modeler item types when exported, or the default mappings of Simulink object types when imported.
After setting the default mappings on this page, when valid to do so you can change the mapping of each Modeler item that is exported, or each Simulink object that is imported through the Item Mapping Definitions page of Integration for MATLAB Simulink.
To change a default type mapping, right-click the entry, point to Set Simulink Object Type or Set Modeler Item Type, and then click the command for the object or item type you want to use.
In addition to the common navigation buttons, the following controls appear on this page of Integration for MATLAB Simulink.
• Mappings list:
◦ For exports, lists the Modeler Object Types that can be exported, and in each case the default Simulink Object Type to which it is mapped.
For Flow Ports, Full Ports and Proxy Ports, the Simulink Type is set to Inport/Outport by default. When set to Inport/Outport, the direction of a Flow Ports, Full Ports and Proxy Ports determines whether Integration for MATLAB Simulink creates an inport or an output in Simulink.
◦ For imports, lists the Simulink Object Types that can be imported, and in each case the default Modeler Object Type to which it is mapped.
For Simulink, a Part (Block Property) can be exported as a ModelReference only when the Part's type owns an Internal Block Diagram or Parametric Diagram. If a Part does not own an Internal Block Diagram (IBD) or Parametric Diagram on the Item Mapping Definitions page, Integration for MATLAB Simulink sets the Simulink type for that Part to SubSystem so that the Part is exported, irrespective of the default mapping.
After setting the default type mappings, click Next.
