Scoping a state diagram item to a different parent item
State Machines, Sequential States and Atomic States (through owned State Diagrams) can scope State Diagram items.
To scope a state diagram item to a different parent item through a state diagram:
On the State Diagram, drag the state diagram item you want to rescope to the diagram background or a sequential State:
To scope a State Diagram item to a State Machine, drag the item to the background of a State Machine owned State Diagram.
To scope a State Diagram item to a Sequential State, drag the item to the Sequential State on a State Diagram.
To scope a State Diagram item to an Atomic State, drag the item to the background of an Atomic State owned State Diagram.
To scope a state diagram item to a different parent through a Modeler browser:
1. In the Modeler browser pane, locate the State Diagram item that you want to rescope.
2. Drag the State Diagram item to the appropriate State Machine or Sequential State.
