Creating a use case
You can create a Use Case through a Use Case Diagram, Class Diagram or a Modeler pane.
To create a use case through a use case diagram:
1. On the Use Case Diagram toolbar, click the Use Case button, and then click on the diagram in free space.
2. Type the name of the Use Case, and then press the Enter key.
The Use Case is created as a child item of the item that owns the Use Case Diagram.
To create a use case through a class diagram:
1. On the Class Diagram toolbar, click the Use Case toolbar button, and then click on the diagram in free space.
2. Type the name of the Use Case, and then press the Enter key.
The Use Case is created as a child item of the item that owns the Class Diagram.
To create a use case through a Modeler pane:
1. Locate the item that is to own the Use Case, that is, a Class, Data Type, Interface, Package, Signal or the Model.
2. Right-click the owning item:
Point to New , and then click Use Case.
or
Point to New , point to UML , point to Use Cases, and then click Use Case.
3. Type the name of the Use Case, and then press the Enter key.
