Parameter order (property)
For automation interface purposes:
Operations - For automation interface information about the Parameter Order property (Param Order through the automation interface), see the automation interface topic for an Operation in the Related Topics.
Events and Exceptions - The Parameter Order property is not an attribute of the owning Event or Exception. The parameter Order property determines the order in which the Parameters are stored, and therefore the order they are returned through the automation interface. You cannot change the Parameter Order through the automation interface.
This property specifies the order in which the Parameters of an Event, Exception or Operation are ordered. The Parameter Order determines in which order the Parameters are listed on the Items tab of the owning item's Property Pages.
By default, a new Parameter appears last in the Parameter Order.
This property can be set on the Items tab of the Property Pages for the Event, Exception or Operation. To change the Parameter Order, select a Parameter in the list, and then click the required order button to change the Parameter's position. There are four order buttons:
You can also set the Parameter Order through the Packages and Relationships panes: Right-click the Parameter you want to move, and then click Move Up (Alt+Shift+Up) or Move Down (Alt+Shift+Up).
The following section provides information about the items and diagrams for which Parameter Order is a property. For more information about an item or diagram, click it.
