Latency (property)
For automation interface purposes, the Latency property is an attribute of the instance symbol.
This property specifies the length of time between the invocation and consumption of an Event or Operation instance on a Sequence Diagram, including the units used.
By default, the Latency box is blank.
On a Sequence Diagram, the Latency is shown in braces (Operation message shown):
This property is set on the Options tab of the Property Pages for an Event Instance (message) or Operation Instance (message) that appears on a Sequence Diagram. To view an instance's Property Pages, on the diagram, right-click the item, and then click Instance Properties.
On a Sequence Diagram, this property can be shown or hidden through the Show Timing Information check box on the diagram View Options.
