For automation interface information about the Guard property (Guard, Text, Token RTF and Token Text through the automation interface), see the automation interface topic for an Activity Flow in the Related Topics.
This property provides a specification to evaluate at runtime to determine if the Control Flow, Exception Handler or Object Flow can be traversed.
By default, the Guard box is blank.
This property is set on the Guard tab of an Object Flow's Property Pages. On the Property Pages, the Editor button allows you to change the Guard property in a text window.
The Guard property supports Rich Text, so you can format the text and use model object references.
On an Activity Diagram you can show or hide the value of the Guard property through the view options of a Control Flow, Exception Handler or Object Flow.
The following section provides information about the items and diagrams for which Guard is a property. For more information about an item or diagram, click it.
