Default (property of dependency and variant)

When you select the Has Parameter check box for a Variant or Dependency, Modeler creates a Variant Parameter object through the Parameter association. Default String is an attribute of the Variant Parameter object.
This property specifies the default value of a Variant or Requires Dependency's parameter.
By default, the value of the Default property is set as follows:
When the type of the parameter is boolean, the default value of the Default property is True.
When the type of the parameter is long or short, the default value of the Default property is 0.
When the type of the parameter is string, the default value of the Default property is blank.
This property is set on the Parameter tab of a Variant or Dependency's Property Pages. Note that this property is available only when the Has Default check box is selected.
When a Variant is shown on a diagram, the Default value is shown as follows:
When a Requires Dependency is shown on a diagram, the Default value is shown as follows:
