Pasting an item from the clipboard
Pasting an item from the clipboard:
On a diagram, depending on the item and diagram type either:
Creates another instance of that item.
Creates a new item with the same name.
In a Modeler pane, either:
Creates the copied item as a new child item of the destination item. For example, when copying an Attribute and pasting to a Class.
Create a link between the source and destination item. For example, when copying a Class and pasting to a Package.
You can paste an item from the clipboard in many ways.
Using the menu commands
1. Select the destination item, or free space on a diagram.
2. On the Edit menu, click Paste.
Using the item's context menu
1. Right-click the destination item, or free space on a diagram.
2. Click Paste.
Using the toolbar button
1. Select the destination item, or free space on a diagram.
2. Click the Paste toolbar button.
Using the keyboard
1. Select the destination item, or free space on a diagram.
2. Press the Control + V keys.
