Interacting with the Waste System simulation
1. From the Waste System's user interface, click the Start/Stop button to start the system.
The system enters Testing mode. While in Testing mode, the Testing lamp is on and the state machine performs a number of tests to check that the system is ready to run. If the system is ready, the system enters Running mode. While in Running mode, the Running lamp is on and the conveyor belt is rolling.
2. Set the Container Supply switch to On.
Good containers appear on the conveyor belt. Each container is scanned for its bar code and leakage. If the container is good it is sent to the Cager. After being sent to the Cager, the Containers count is incremented and the next container is placed on the conveyor belt.
3. Set the Fault Injection switch to On.
Leaking containers now appear on the conveyor belt. If the scanner detects a leaking container, it is sent to the Router. After being sent to the Router, both the Containers and Faults counts are incremented and the next container is placed on the conveyor belt.
4. Set the Container Supply switch to Off.
5. After the last container has been processed, set the Start/Stop button to Stop.
6. Close the Waste System application.
The state machine is removed from the memory of your computer.
