Creating an exit state
You can create an Exit State on a State Diagram or through a Modeler browser. Define an Exit State's incoming and outgoing Transitions on a State Diagram.
To create an exit state on a state diagram:
1. On the State Diagram toolbar, click the Exit State button.
2. On the State Diagram, click the edge of the frame or click the edge of a Sequential State.

You cannot click the dashed partition line for a Concurrent State.
To create an exit state in a Modeler browser:
Right-click the State Machine or Sequential State that is to own the Exit State, point to New, point to Pseudo State, and then click Exit Point State.
