Creating a sequential state
You can create a Sequential State on a State Diagram or through a Modeler browser. Define a Sequential State's incoming and outgoing Transitions on a State Diagram.
To create a sequential state on a state diagram:
1. On the State Diagram toolbar, click the Sequential State button.
2. On the State Diagram, click in free space or within a Sequential State.
3. Type the name of the Sequential State, and then press the Enter key.
To create a sequential state in a Modeler browser:
1. Right-click the State Machine, Sequential State or Concurrent State that is to own the Sequential State, point to New, and then click Sequential State.
2. Type the name of the Sequential State, and then press the Enter key.
To create a sequential state as a new compartment on a concurrent state:
1. On the State Diagram toolbar, click the Concurrent Compartment button.
2. On the State Diagram, click within the Concurrent State that is to own the Sequential State.
3. Type the name of the Sequential State, and then press the Enter key.
Alternatively:
In a Modeler browser, right-click the Concurrent State, point to New, and then click Sequential State.
