Creating a profile package for lightweight extensions

Customization > Extensibility Through Profiles, Stereotypes, Tag Definitions and Scripts > Lightweight extensions of PTC profiles > Creating and distributing lightweight extensions > Creating a profile package for lightweight extensions

1. Right-click the Model, point to New, and then click Package.

2. Type the name of Package, and then press the Enter key. The name of each profile Package in a model must be unique.

The name you type (with the text 'Profile' or 'Extensions' removed) will appear as a subfolder in selection dialogs.

3. Open the Package's Property Pages.

4. Click the Options tab.

5. Select the Profile Package check box.

6. Right-click the Package, point to Links > Stereotypes, and then click LightweightProfile.

You can create Packages within your profile Package to organize any items you create. If you create sub-Packages, do not apply the «LightweightProfile» stereotype to those sub-Packages, and do not select the Profile check box for those sub-Packages.
