Disconnect from configuration management command (CM tool integration)
This command disconnects a Package (or Model) and its descendent Packages from configuration control, so that the Packages are no longer associated with a CM tool Model.
This command appears on the context menu when you right-click a Model or Package, point to Tools > Configuration Management, and then point to Advanced.
Typically you do not use this command, but you may do so under the following circumstances:
You have decided to manage a CM tool Model through the Modeler environment.
You want to work with an unmanaged copy of the model.
The CM tool Model has been moved to a different folder or computer and the Modeler to CM tool link has been broken. Under these circumstances, you may have to fix the link through the following steps:
Disconnect and Reconnect using the Disconnect From Configuration Management command followed by the Configuration Management > Advanced > Reconnect to Configuration Management > Store CM Tool Paths Globally in Model command.
Check out the Model and all its Packages.
Disconnect and Reconnect using the Disconnect From Configuration Management command followed by the Configuration Management > Advanced > Reconnect to Configuration Management > Store CM Tool Paths Globally in Model command.
Check in the Model and all its Packages.
The links between the Modeler Model and its associated CM tool Model have been corrupted. Under these circumstances you may be able to fix the link through the preceding steps.
This command makes the following changes:
For a Model, the files associated files in the ModelerATFiles subfolder are made writeable. For example, the template.txt file.
For a Package or Model, it is unprotected (the Protected check box on Access Permissions tab of Property Pages is cleared).
*
If a Package or Model is checked out, it is not checked in before being disconnected.
To use this command you require a Modeler license and a CM Integration license. In addition, this command is not available when the CM tool integration is disabled - you can enable and disable the CM tool integration through the Enable Configuration Management Integration check box for the General entry on the Tool Options dialog.
