Changing a port's type on a composite structure diagram
If a Part or Port contains a Port whose type is a super Class, Data Type, Interface or Signal, you can change the contained Port's type from the super item to one of its sub items. Note that having changed a Port's type to a sub item, you cannot then change the Port's type back to the super item, except through an edit undo operation.
To change a port's type:
1. Open the Composite Structure Diagram that shows the Port whose type you want to change.
2. If the Port's Name or Type is not shown, show its type:
a. Right-click the Port, and then click to View Options.
b. Click the Port entry, and then select the Show Type check box.
3. In the Packages pane, locate the required sub item of the Port's type
4. Drag the sub item to the Name or Type of the Part on the Composite Structure Diagram.
