Basing a new package on a previous version of a CM tool package (CM tool integration)
1. From Windows Explorer, create a folder.
2. From the CM tool, perform get operations to populate the folder you created with the required version of the Package, and its associated IDF file. See Files created in the CM tool (CM tool integration)
3. Create a replica of the CM tool model. See Getting a CM tool model the first time - creating a replica (CM tool integration)
4. From Modeler, open the replica you created.
5. Right-click the appropriate Package, point to Package Import/Export, and then click Update Existing.
6. Select the Folder you created in Step 1, and then click OK.
7. Select the required Package, and then click OK.
8. Right-click the Package, point to Configuration Management, point to Advanced, and then click Disconnect From Configuration Management.
You can now develop the Package independently of the CM tool Package.
