Renaming a model (Model Explorer)
You can rename a model through Model Explorer and Modeler.
* 
You can rename a model only if you have Owner access permissions to that model.
The following characters cannot be used in a Model's name: ¦ ! " & * : \ < > ?
To rename a model (through Model Explorer):
1. Start Model Explorer.

2. Locate the Model you want to rename:
a. Expand the Server that owns the Model you want to rename.
If the Server that owns the Model is not shown, add the Server to Model Explorer.

b. Expand the Database that owns the Model you want to rename.
If the Database that owns the Model is not shown, show the server's databases and then optionally bookmark the Database.
3. Right-click the model you want to rename, and then click Rename.
4. Type the new name, and then press the Enterkey.
To rename a model (through Modeler):
1. In Modeler, open the model you want to rename.

2. In the Packages pane, right-click the model, and then click Rename.
3. Type the new name, and then press the Enterkey.
