Stub analysis report page (Component Sharing Wizard)
This topic is for the Stub Analysis page of the Component Sharing Wizard (Step 6 of 7).
This page lists items that will be imported or exported as stubs.
The options available on this page depend on the Component Sharing Wizard operation you are performing.
Clicking Next on this page starts the import or export process.
While the stub analysis is in progress, a progress dialog is displayed. You can click the Cancel button on this dialog to stop the stub analysis, and then continue the import and export process; however, doing so may result in the import or export of stubs. When you cancel the stub analysis, the following icon is shown.
*
Important: The Component Sharing Wizard cannot import or export items that are scoped directly to the model. If a dependent item is scoped directly to the model, that item will be imported or exported as a stub.
*
The Component Sharing Wizard's stub analysis does not test whether the linked item of a Note, Note Link or Framebox is present.
The Component Sharing Wizard's stub analysis does not check whether Model Object Tokens, Generalizations, Associations, Dependencies, Symbols and Diagrams have items linked through their Used Dictionary Item role or Referred to Object role present.
If there are protected Packages in the model for which you do not have access permissions to unprotect, you are prompted to abort or continue the import. Continuing the import can result in items being converted to stubs.

Stubs
The Component Sharing Wizard creates stubs to maintain relationships with items that are not present in the target model or CWF file.
When a Package or item is created as a stub, it has the following characteristics:
In Modeler panes, its icon includes this symbol (except for the Model).
When selected, STUB is displayed in the Modeler Status Bar.
Its properties are not fully populated, for example, the Description property will be blank.
It is read-only, irrespective of what access permissions you have to it.
Links to other items may not be included.
Stub items (except the Model or Packages) are not displayed in the Packages pane.
Tip: To find stubs in the model: in the Packages pane, right-click the Model, point to Find, and then click All Model Stubs (to find all stubs) or Unused Stubs (to find stubs that are not used by other items or diagrams).
