2. On the diagram, right-click the item to which you want to apply the Stereotype, and then click Instance Properties.
3. Click the Items tab.
4. In the drop-down list box select Stereotypes, and then click the Link button.
5. In the middle or right pane, select the check boxes associated with the Stereotypes you want to apply.
6. In the middle or right pane, clear the check boxes associated with the Stereotypes you want to remove.
7. Click OK.
If the required Stereotype is not listed, the item's type is not set up as a valid type for the Stereotype or the Stereotype is set up to be applied to all valid model item types. For more information, see

To apply a Stereotype to a model item instance (through drag-and-drop operation):
Drag the Stereotype to the item instance on the diagram.
Modeler applies the Stereotype to the item instance. In addition, Modeler links the Stereotype to the diagram so that the Stereotype is shown on the diagram.
