After a Server-Only installation perform the following tasks:

The SQL Server Administrator who installs or upgrades to PTC Modeler is not assigned any Modeler roles.

The SQL Server Administrator must create a login of a user or a group with Modeler System Database Administrator role through Model Explorer. These Modeler System Database Administrators can create logins for Database Administrators and Modeler Application Users. For more information on how to do this, see Creating server logins for users and groups (Model Explorer)

• Change the Password of the PTC-IM-WSU User Account

• Set up a Server-based Floating License

• Set up the Windows Firewall

• Set up a Server to Add Users and Groups through an Organizational Unit

• Set up a backup procedure

• Set up a Web Interface Website

• If you have upgraded PTC Modeler from earlier supported versions to 10.1, migrate the databases using Model Explorer. For more information, see Migrating All Databases.
