Deleting a database (Model Explorer)

• Only Modeler System Administrators and Database Owners (dbo) can perform this task.
* 
Before deleting a database, you must consider the following:
• It is recommended that you backup the database before deleting.
• Ensure that no user is currently working on the database that is to be deleted.
To delete a database
1. Start Model Explorer.
For more information, refer to Starting Model Explorer.
2. In the left navigation pane, expand the SQL icon.
3. Expand the server that you want to delete a database a from.
4. Right-click on a database, then click Delete. A warning message appears.
5. Click Yes to delete the database.
6. In the list of databases, confirm that the database has been deleted.
