Working with waypoints
You use waypoints to help you draw links between diagram items. You can create a waypoint as you draw a new link, or you can add a waypoint to an existing link.
To create a waypoint as you add a link:
• When adding a link to a diagram, click in free space to add a waypoint.
To force horizontal or vertical link segments as you add a link:
• Before clicking in free space to add a waypoint, press and hold the Ctrl key on the keyboard.

You can force horizontal and vertical link segments only after adding the first waypoint.

To add a waypoint to an existing link:
• Drag the link between waypoints.
To move an existing waypoint:
1. Select the link.
2. Drag the waypoint you want to move to the required position.
To delete a waypoint:
• Right-click the waypoint, and then click Remove This Waypoint.
Alternatively,
1. Select the link.
2. Drag the waypoint you want to delete, and press the Delete key on the keyboard before you release the mouse button.
To delete all waypoints:
• Right-click the link, and then click Cancel Waypoints.
