SySim control bar (SySim)
The SySim Control Bar allows you to control a SySim model execution and must be added to the Visual Basic form. Note that if a SySim model execution is started without the Control Bar on the Visual Basic form, a runtime error dialog reports that the Control Bar is required on the form.
If you have built a Simulink shell for the SySim model execution, you must start that Simulink shell before clicking the
Simulation Start/Resume button.
The SySim Control Bar contains the following buttons and a text box that displays the step count.
Simulation Stop button
This button stops a SySim model execution. You can restart it if required.
Simulation Start/Resume button
This button starts the SySim model execution.
After starting the SySim model execution, the Simulation Start button appears dimmed rather than black.
If you pause the SySim model execution, this button appears as follows.
Simulation Suspend button
This button pauses a SySim model execution.
After pausing the SySim model execution, the Simulation Suspend button appears dimmed rather than black.
Simulation Single Step button
This button makes a paused SySim model execution progress one step through the execution loop.
Simulation Log button
This button generates the log to an Excel spreadsheet.
While a log is being generated, the Simulation Log button appears as follows.
Errors button
This button opens a dialog for you to view any runtime errors and warnings, such as inconsistent connections between blocks, data conversion errors and unused/unconnected ports. When errors are reported, the SySim model execution cannot be started, that is, the
Simulation Start/Resume button is not available. Warnings do not prevent the SySim model execution from being started.
