This property specifies the order in which the Columns of a Table, or the linked Columns of an Index are ordered. The Column Order determines in which order the Columns are listed on:

By default, a new Column or newly linked Column appears last in the Column Order.

This property can be set on the Items tab of a Table's Property Pages or the Columns tab of an Index's Property Pages. To change the Column Order, select a Column in the list, and then click the required order button to change the Column's position. There are four order buttons:

You can also set the Column Order through the Packages and Relationships panes: Right-click the Column you want to move, and then click Move Up (Alt+Shift+Up) or Move Down (Alt+Shift+Up).
