Creating a variability dependency
You can create a Variability Dependency between a Variation Point and a Variant, or between an Alternative Choice and a Variant.

To create a variability dependency between a variation point and a variant:
1. Open the diagram on which you want to create the Variability Dependency.
3. On the Variant Diagram or Variability tab, click the

4. Click the Variation Point.
5. Click the Variant.
| You can add a Variability Dependency between a Variation Point and Variant only if no Variability Dependency exists between the two items, either directly or via an Alternative Choice. |
To create a variability dependency between an alternative choice and a variant:
1. Open the diagram on which you want to create the Variability Dependency.
3. On the Variant Diagram or Variability tab, click the

4. Click the Alternative Choice.
5. Click the Variant.
| You can add a Variability Dependency between an Alternative Choice and Variant only if no Variability Dependency exists between the Alternative Choice's Variation Point and the Variant, either directly or via an Alternative Choice. |
