Adding items to a use case diagram
You can add existing items to a Use Case diagram through drag-and-drop operations, tab buttons and populate commands.

To add an actor to a use case diagram:
• Drag the Actor from a Modeler pane to the Use Case Diagram.
or
1. On the Use Case Diagram tab, click the
Actor button, and then right-click on the diagram in free space.
2. From the Select Object dialog, select the Actor you want to add to the diagram, and then click OK.
To add a use case to a use case diagram:
• Drag the Use Case from a Modeler pane to the Use Case Diagram.
or
1. On the Use Case Diagram tab, click the
Use Case button, and then right-click on the diagram in free space.
2. From the Select Object dialog, select the Use Case you want to add to the diagram, and then click OK.
To add generalizations to a use case diagram:
1. On the diagram locate the Actor or Use Case that is connected to the Generalization you want to add.
2. Right-click the Actor or Use Case, and select any of the following as appropriate:

To add interactions to a use case diagram:
1. Locate the Actor that is connected to the Interaction you want to add.
2. Right-click the Actor, and select > .
or
1. Locate the Use Case that is connected to the Interaction you want to add.
2. Right-click the Use Case, and select > .
To add extend flows to a use case diagram:
• Locate the Use Case that is connected to the Extend Flow you want to add.
• Right-click the Use Case, and select > .
To add a use case to a use case diagram:
1. Locate the Use Case that is connected to the Include Flow you want to add.
2. Right-click the Use Case, and select > .
