Common mapping options page (Integration for Windchill RV&S)
This page of Integration for Lifecycle Manager allows you to specify the common settings for the Integration for Lifecycle Manager Mapping.
Set the options and check boxes as required, and then click Next.
In addition to the common navigation buttons, the following controls appear on this page of Integration for Lifecycle Manager.
Action for Deleted Source Object group:
• Delete Target Object check box - specifies that when the source item for a synchronization has been deleted, Integration for Lifecycle Manager should delete its associated target item.
For Requirement Mappings:
◦ 'Modeler -> Lifecycle Manager' synchronizations: when a Modeler item is deleted, Integration for Lifecycle Manager should delete the associated Windchill RV&S item.
◦ 'Modeler <- Integrity Lifecycle Manager' synchronizations: when a Windchill RV&S item is deleted, Integration for Lifecycle Manager should delete the associated Modeler item.
◦ 'Modeler <-> Integrity Lifecycle Manager' synchronizations: when a Modeler item is deleted, Integration for Lifecycle Manager should delete the associated Windchill RV&S item; when a Windchill RV&S item is deleted, Integration for Lifecycle Manager should delete the associated Modeler item.
For Surrogate Mappings:
◦ When a Modeler item is deleted, Integration for Lifecycle Manager should delete the associated Windchill RV&S item.
• Mark Target Object as Deleted From Source check box - specifies that when the source item for a synchronization has been deleted, Integration for Lifecycle Manager should mark the associated target item as deleted:
◦ A Modeler item is marked as deleted by setting its IsDeletedInRequirementTool property to TRUE.
◦ A Windchill RV&S item is marked as deleted by setting its 'PTC Modeler: Is Deleted' field to True.
For Requirement Mappings:
◦ 'Modeler -> Integrity Lifecycle Manager' synchronizations: when a Modeler item is deleted, Integration for Lifecycle Manager should mark the associated Windchill RV&S item as deleted.
◦ 'Modeler <- Integrity Lifecycle Manager' synchronizations: when a Windchill RV&S item is deleted, Integration for Lifecycle Manager should mark the associated Modeler item as deleted.
◦ 'Modeler <-> Integrity Lifecycle Manager' synchronizations: when a Modeler item is deleted, Integration for Lifecycle Manager should mark the associated Windchill RV&S item as deleted; when a Windchill RV&S item is deleted, Integration for Lifecycle Manager should mark the associated Modeler item as deleted.
For Surrogate Mappings:
◦ When a Modeler item is deleted, Integration for Lifecycle Manager should mark the associated Windchill RV&S item as deleted.
Mapping Modification group:
• Model Owner Only check box - specifies that the Mapping can be changed only by users that have Owner access permissions to the Modeler Model.
Windchill Modeler Model group:
• Lock During Synchronization check box - specifies that the Modeler Model is locked during the synchronization. This can be useful in a multiuser environment.
Early Clash Detection group:
• Perform Clash Analysis check box:
◦ When selected, specifies that early clash analysis is performed before starting the synchronization. Early clash analysis reports additional less serious clashes that are not reported when the Perform Clash Analysis check box is cleared. For example, for unidirectional synchronizations, overwriting a modified property of the target item.
If any clashes are detected during early clash analysis, Integration for Lifecycle Manager opens the Clash Detection Results dialog so that a resolution for each clash can be specified before starting the synchronization.
Note that although most clashes can be detected before performing the synchronization, some clashes occur only after the first phase of the synchronization process has been completed and you must resolve these clashes during the synchronization. Clashes that may require resolving during the synchronization can involve Modeler properties that support rich text, and Modeler properties that are derived or read-only.
◦ When cleared, specifies that you will be prompted to resolve any clashes as and when those clashes occur during the synchronization through the Clash Detection During Synchronization dialog.
Maximum Diagram Size group:
Specify the maximum height and width for Modeler Diagrams in a document.
Note that if a diagram is larger than the specified height and width, it will be scaled down to the maximum size.
Important: Making diagrams bigger than the default will impact the performance when loading and navigating through the document.
