Generate pane (Publisher)
The Generate pane allows you to specify the output format for the generation process, specify the model that provides the source data for the generated output, and it allows you to start the generation process.
The Generate pane has the following controls:
• Publication Model box - shows the model that is used to generate output.
If the drop-down list shows \Active Model, the publication model is the model that is open in Modeler. If Modeler is not running, the publication model is the last model that was open in Modeler.
To select a different publication model, click the Model selection button, and then select the model from which you want to generate output. After selecting a model through the Model selection button, that model will be available in the drop-down list.
If you hover the mouse pointer over the Publication Model label, a ToolTip will show the reference of the model.
• Style list - lists the available Styles. Select the Style you want to use to generate the output. The selected Style determines which Output Formats are available.
• Output Format list - lists one or more of the following output formats, depending on the selected Style:
◦ Word- generates Word documents using Word 2003 (.doc) format. If you want to save the document using Word format (.docx), do not select the Maintain Compatibility with Word 97-2003 check box.
◦ Publisher HTML- generates HTML files that allow the extracted data to be viewed in an internet browser, such as Mozilla Firefox.
◦ Publisher XML - generates XML files for the structure and content of the extracted data so that other tools and applications can make use of that data.
◦ DocBook- generates DocBook files. DocBook is a semantic markup language for technical documentation, the details of which are not covered in this Help.
• Output Path box - shows the path of the folder in which the output is generated. Select a different folder through the associated button.
• Launch After Generation check box - specifies that after generating output, Publisher opens that output using the default application for the file type.
• Generate button - starts the generation process. Note that when the generation process is complete, Ready is displayed in the status bar.
