Alternatively, right-click the Inputs area, and select Insert Input Expression from the shortcut menu.
2. Click the Outputs area and select Insert Output Expression from the Ribbon, the same way you did for input expressions. Edit the expression to suit your data.
Alternatively, right-click the Outputs area, and select Insert Output Expression from the shortcut menu.
*
To insert input and output expressions, you can also type them in.
3. To edit the component table, double-click it to open Excel. The component table is grayed out. When the component table is grayed out, you cannot edit the component table inside PTC Mathcad. You can only edit the Excel worksheet in the Excel application.
4. Edit data inside Excel application and press Enter. To use data from an existing Excel file, copy the data from the Excel file, double-click the component table and in Excel, paste the data into it.
5. To update the cell scrolling (without closing the Excel application) press Ctrl+S. The component table displays the Excel worksheet content starting with the upper left corner.
6. To display the content of another part of the Excel worksheet, scroll in Excel or hide columns and rows until the desired content is moved to the upper left corner, and update or close Excel.
7. To close the Excel application, click the Office button and select Close.
Alternatively, in your PTC Mathcad worksheet, double-click the component table. Only the Excel component worksheet closes. Other open Excel files are still open.
