1. Click the PTC Mathcad Button . A list of file related commands opens.
2. Click Options > License. The Licence window opens.
3. In the top half of the window, you can view license, host ID, and service contract number information, as well as the date and status of the last license request.
Click Copy All to copy the above information plus the server name and port number, from where the license was obtained, to the clipboard.
4. In the bottom half of the window, you can perform the following tasks:
◦ License Configuration:
▪ Select Server and specify the name of your license server and port number.
PTC uses port number 7788. Contact your IT group for information about the name of your license server and port number.
Click Borrow to borrow a license from the specified server. Click Return to return the borrowed license.
▪ Select Source List if you have a pool of servers from which you can obtain a license. The list must be semicolon delimited, where each item is specified using the format port@servername.
▪ Select File to specify a local license file.
Click Browse to locate the local license file.
Click Apply to apply the current settings.
◦ License Acquisition:
▪ Click Get License to open the PTC Mathcad License Wizard where you can:
▪ Get a free forever PTC Mathcad Express license
Or:
▪ Activate a purchased license
▪ Configure your product to use and existing license
