PTC Mathcad Options and License Settings

Working with PTC Mathcad Prime > Mathcad Workspace > PTC Mathcad Options and License Settings

To view the PTC Mathcad Prime options and license settings, click PTC Mathcad Prime button

> Options. The PTC Mathcad Options dialog box opens, and contains two tabs:

The Options Tab

This tab displays check boxes to configure PTC Mathcad Prime:

• Enable the Resources Tab—Toggles the display of the Resources tab in the Ribbon. The Resources tab contains four groups:

◦ Get Help in PTC Mathcad

◦ Connect to PTC Mathcad Community

◦ Technical Support

◦ Learning

• Enable Windchill Integration—Toggles the display of Workgroup Manager commands under the button. You can check in and check out files for data and lifecycle management.

• Set the path for accessing Help at an alternate location—Specify a different location for Help. For example, a URL or file path. The default location for Help is on the PTC Support Site.

◦ If you install Help on your own server, you must set the path to:

http://<server-name>/<path-to-folder>/mathcad/r12.0/<language>

◦ If you install Help on a local disk, you must set the path to:

<local-disk>:/<path-to-folder>/mathcad/r12.0/<language>

The following check boxes are only visible if you have a valid license:

• Disable Diagnostic Tools reporting—Toggles data reporting for Diagnostic Tools. This option is always enabled if you have a 30-day, full functionality license. You can disable this option if you have a full license. Refer to the _PTC Mathcad Prime 12.0.0.0 Installation and Administration Guide for more information.

• Specify an alternate folder for 'My Templates'—Specify a different file path to the My Templates folder.

• Specify an alternate folder for 'Shared Templates'—Specify a different file path to the Shared Templates folder.

• Use an alternate template when creating new worksheets—Specify a different default template for new worksheets.

• Hide Advanced Controls Warning, Run the Advanced Controls scripts on worksheet open, and Run the Advanced Controls scripts on worksheet recalculate—These options are relevant when you have advanced controls in your worksheets. For more information, see Advanced Controls Options.

• Set the path to the Python installation folder—Specify a path to the Python installation folder. This option is used when you want to set Python as a scripting language for advanced controls.
