UA Gateway Status
The UA Gateway reports its last known status through the following two properties on the root node.
The Status of the UA Gateway appears in the properties. These fields are read-only information from the system.
Status of the UAG can be:
Connected - when the UA Gateway process has started and the socket connection is established.
Stopped - when the UA Gateway service has been deliberately shut down (possibly due to license expiration).
Error - when the UA Gateway is not operating correctly.
Status Details contain additional information about the reported status. In the case of an error status, Status Details contain debugging information for diagnosing the reason for the error status wherever possible. The status details include additional information, such as:
Connected - “UA Gateway is loading.”
Connected - “UA Gateway is ready.”
Connected - “UA Gateway is not responding.”
Stopped - “UA Gateway is unlicensed and demo period has expired.”
Error - “Server Interface port collision preventing startup.”
Error - “Service is not responding. Check help documentation for possible causes.”

Additional information may be available in the Event Log through UA Gateway messages.

When unlicensed, the UA Gateway feature runs on a two-hour limited-time trial use that starts when the first UA client connects to the server interface. When the timer expires, the UA Gateway Service shuts down and closes all connections. An event log message is posted to the event log stating that the time limited usage period has expired.
When licensed, the UA Gateway feature remains connected for the duration of the license. On expiration of the license, UA Gateway enters the two-hour limited-time trial use. When the timer expires, the UA Gateway service shuts down and closes all connections.
