The previous exercises have shown that imported 3D files are always displayed in color in Rendering display mode. Which colors are used depends on whether colors have been assigned to the parts in the CAD system. When colors have already been assigned, these are adopted from the program. Parts that have not had colors assigned to them in the CAD program are depicted in blue, the standard color.

A new color can be assigned to each part using the Show fill window command. This means that creating colored graphics in 3D mode is very straightforward.

To ensure that a color drawing can be reused, Arbortext IsoDraw CADprocess allows users to choose from a range of formats when exporting out of 3D mode.

The following exercise involves assigning new colors to the parts in a prepared drawing. The drawing is then exported to a raster format.
