The Arrow (+) Tool in 3D mode
You use the Arrow (+) tool (Selection and manipulation of elements in groups) in the same way as the Arrow tool (Selection and manipulation of elements). However, unlike with the Arrow tool, you can use the Arrow (+) tool to select objects or surfaces within an object. When you are working with a file without structured import you can select surfaces using this cursor.
Selecting
The Arrow (+) tool has the same selection functions as the Arrow tool.
You can select several parts by clicking them one after the other while holding down the SHIFT key.
If you hold down the CTRL key, you can select – instead of the surface of an object – the next highest unit, i.e. the object.
If you want to select several surfaces you can also use the selection rectangle or the lasso, as with the Arrow tool.
*
Smaller 3D object surfaces that form a larger 3D object surface are not individually selectable—even though you can see their borders. This is because the smaller surfaces are merged into the larger surface before the 3D object is rendered.
