Working Outside the Major Axes
Specifying Axes Outside the Major Isometric Axes and Finding the Appropriate Ellipse.

An important aspect of isometric drawing consists of selecting the appropriate ellipse to match an angle or plane.
This exercise uses a simple example to demonstrate how an axis defined using an angle can be established outside the major axes. It will then introduce a method that can be used in Arbortext IsoDraw to find the ellipse with the ellipse value and orientation angle that match the axis.
This exercise will also explain how straight lines can be rounded using the fillet function.
When you have worked through the functions in this exercise, you can complete the drawing from the file pipe.idr located in the Arbortext-IsoDraw-install-path\Tutorial\Tutorial IsoDraw folder. It is based on the exercise example. Furthermore, you should already be familiar with the tools and functions that are to be used when drawing.
