Creating a New Hatching

Selecting the Fills command opens the Fills window. Besides colors, you can also select hatchings and patterns to fill areas.
There is a comprehensive stock of hatchings built into the program. The program loads the hatchings from the file DefaultHatchings.idr.
If, for example, you need a special hatching for a particular material or to highlight an area, you can easily create your own.
This section provides all the information you need to create your own hatchings.
The hatching exercise will demonstrate the steps involved in creating a hatching and detail the relevant points that need to be considered.
Once you have saved the file with the example hatching in the correct directory you can then practice using it.
