The Shaft tool introduces a special technique for technical illustration. This tool is used for all shaft-like parts.
The drawing is created in segments. There are various design options for each shaft segment. All dimensions can be entered and changed.
The exercise will introduce these features by creating a shaft with two chamfered stump shafts. One stump shaft will have a keyway.
The file shaft.idr containing the completed drawing (without dimensions) can be found in the Arbortext-IsoDraw-install-path\Tutorial\Tutorial IsoDraw folder.
Settings
Grid Alignment, Grid Snap, Element Snap, and Dimensions must be on.
The isometric grid must be set.
