To create a test verdict in the GUI
1. From the Test Verdicts view, select > . The Create Test Verdict dialog box displays.
2. In the Name field, type a new name for the test verdict. This is the name you use to refer to the field in Integrity Lifecycle Manager. The Name field allows 100 alphanumeric characters.
In the Display Name field, Integrity Lifecycle Manager automatically enters the same selected name. Display names display in the pick list field for test verdicts.
You can choose a different name to use as the display name. Display names are useful for clarifying the terminology presented to users on the interface.
3. In the Description field, type a more detailed textual description of the test verdict, such as when it should be used.
4. To customize the order the test verdicts display in a picklist field, click the Position tab to display the Position panel, and use the Move Up and Move Down buttons to change the order in the list. This order is used throughout Integrity Lifecycle Manager.
5. On the Image tab, associate an image with a test verdict. To associate an image with the test verdict, you have three options:
◦ To use your own icon image, select Use Custom Image, and click Select to browse for the image file.
◦ To use the predefined icon image, select Default Image.
◦ To associate no icon image with the user, select No Image.
If you choose to use your own custom icon image, the image must be in GIF or JPEG format and no larger than 16 x 24 pixels.
6. On the Verdict Type tab, select the appropriate type for the test verdict. You can have multiple verdicts for each type. For example, you could create different verdicts for different types of failures.
