Connections for which SSL Is Supported
SSL is supported for the following connections:
• Integrity Lifecycle Manager server listening port. The following items connect to this port:
◦ Integrity Lifecycle Manager client GUI and CLI
◦ Web browsers
◦ Integrity Lifecycle Manager servers—Includes connections between proxy servers and other Integrity Lifecycle Manager servers, the staging and production servers for the Admin Migration Wizard, and the configuration management server and workflows and documents server
◦ Integrity Lifecycle Manager API (Java and C) for integrations connecting to the Integrity Lifecycle Manager server as an integration point
◦ SOAP web services
◦ Integrity Lifecycle Manager Implementation Platform (IIP)
◦ Gateway
• Integrity Lifecycle Manager Agent listening port. The following items connect to this port:
◦ Integrity Lifecycle Manager server—Integrity Lifecycle Manager Automated Test Execution Framework (ATEF) functionality
• Connections from Integrity Lifecycle Manager to other systems that use transport layer security (TLS) or SSL:
◦ Integrity Lifecycle Manager server to an LDAP server
◦ Integrity Lifecycle Manager Agent to an LDAP server
◦ Integrity Lifecycle Manager server to a CA SiteMinder server
◦ Integrity Lifecycle Manager server to a IBM Security Access Manager (ISAM) server. For more information, see Integrity Lifecycle Manager Server for IBM Security Access Manager.
◦ Integrity Lifecycle Manager client to an HTTPS server for linked images in rich-text fields and presentation templates, where the linked image is stored on an HTTPS server
SSL is not supported for the following connections:
• Integrity Lifecycle Manager server to a FlexNet Publisher server—FlexNet Publisher uses a proprietary protocol over TCP/IP instead of SSL/TLS.
• Integrity Lifecycle Manager API (Java and C) for integrations connecting to the Integrity Lifecycle Manager client as an integration point—SSL security is unnecessary, since all communication occurs locally on the same machine.
