Collecting Performance Statistics
When executing performance related testing, it is often necessary to capture some form of performance-based statistics. These statistics are used to record attributes such as: Response Time, pertaining to the execution of a particular command or event, and Throughput, which is used to identify the amount of data passing through a system from input to output.
These performance statistics can be recorded during manual testing using the Test Result Editor as an attribute of the Test Result. Most often, these attributes are populated as part of automated testing, using ATEF or through integration with commands such as tm setresults, tm createresult, and tm editresult.
