About Searching from the Help Center
The Search box is always accessible from wherever you are in the Help. On the Search page, you can set the search filters to narrow or broaden your search.
The following search rules apply when searching the Help:
• Boolean—All search words and phrases have an implicit AND.
◦ Word Search—For example, a search for item relationship finds all Help topics containing item and relationship. The terms do not have to be next to each other.
◦ Search for Either Word—To search for Help topics that have just one of several words, include OR between the words. Without the OR, your results would typically show only pages that match both terms.
For example, search for item OR attribute to find all Help topics that contain either item or attribute.
◦ Phrase Search—To find an exact phrase, enclose the phrase in quotations. For example, search for “workflows and documents” to find all Help topics containing the exact phrase workflows and documents.
◦ Wildcard Search—For example, if you search for sub*, your search results will include any string that starts with sub, such as subproject and subtree. Searching for sub without the asterisk, returns the string sub only.
