Authentication Prerequisites

Before you can configure SSO Authentication using Microsoft Entra ID, the following tasks must be complete:

1. On the Microsoft website, read the following:

◦ Microsoft Entra fundamentals documentation

◦ Microsoft identity platform documentation

◦ Application and service principal objects in Microsoft Entra ID

2. Create an Microsoft Entra ID with a Primary Domain.

3. Define a user that will serve as the Global Administrator.

4. Install Windchill. LDAP Secure (LDAPS) configuration is required for Windchill to connect with Microsoft Entra ID. For more information on LDAP configuration, refer section Entering Your LDAP Settings in the Windchill Help Center.
