About Setting Instances in Component Editor
Component instances are saved in a family table.

3. Double-click an instance to edit it.

to copy all instances information to the clipboard for editing externally, such as editing in an EXCEL file.

to paste the externally edited instances information back to the component editor. You can edit the cell values and insert new columns.

to add a new instance. When you select a row, the information is copied to the new instance.
